As well as having a large rustic Mediterranean garden originally designed by Mr & Mrs Terry-Thomas, as an addition for our garden lovers Can Talaias also has its own extensive water-wise plant nursery.
Spread over two terraces with spacious greenhouses, the nursery hosts a selection of wild Spanish forest plants, as:
- Common Pines
- Umbrella Pines
- Spanish Oaks
- Olive bushes & pale pink River Oleanders, amongst others.
The main greenhouse is dedicated to the owners favorites, an interesting array of Cacti & Succulents.
Due to the island's ever diminishing water-table, the main concept of the nursery is the production of tough, semi drought tolerant species, which also possess amazing forms, colours & flowers.
